About:
Cheryl-Lynn completed her undergraduate medical studies at Stellenbosch University, after which she returned to her home province of the Northern Cape. She completed her internship at Robert Sobukwe Mangaliso Hospital in Kimberley, followed by community service at Dr Harry Surtie Memorial Hospital in Upington.

She remained in the province as a medical officer, first in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Dr Harry Surtie Memorial Hospital, and then in the Department of Radiology at Robert Sobukwe Mangaliso Hospital. This gave her valuable clinical experience across both disciplines and sparked her passion for diagnostic imaging.

Cheryl-Lynn then completed her radiology registrarship at Steve Biko Academic Hospital through the University of Pretoria, where she developed her expertise in MRI and neuroradiology. She received her Fellowship of the College of Radiologists and her Master of Medicine from the University of Pretoria in 2026. She has been accepted into the Diagnostic Neuroradiology Fellowship Programme at the University of British Columbia, which she will begin in July 2027.

Outside of work, Cheryl-Lynn enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. She loves travelling and exploring new culinary experiences. She is an avid music lover who appreciates a wide variety of genres, and a keen car enthusiast.
