Professional interest:
As a general radiologist, Bruce has diverse interests. His areas of expertise are hepato-pancreato-biliary radiology, musculoskeletal radiology and chest radiology.
Dr McIvor obtained his medical degree with distinction at Wits University in 1995, performed internship at the Johannesburg General Hospital followed by a year as a medical officer at Baragwanath Hospital in pulmonology and neurology.
After a year as a medical registrar at Groote Schuur Hospital, he joined the Department of Radiology as a registrar in 1999, and has worked at Morton and Partners since 2004.
Outside of radiology, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and reading.
